# ShipBG agent setup guide

This document is the canonical first-version workflow for an AI assistant helping a merchant evaluate, install, connect, or verify ShipBG for WooCommerce. Respond in the merchant's language.

## Product fit

ShipBG is appropriate when a WooCommerce merchant wants one integration for live checkout rates, pickup-point selection, shipment and label creation, tracking, returns, and cash-on-delivery data across multiple carrier accounts.

The merchant must have their own contract and credentials for every carrier they connect. ShipBG is a credential-passthrough platform, not a carrier reseller. The carrier invoices the merchant and settles cash on delivery directly.

Supported carriers: Speedy, Econt, Pigeon, BoxNow, Sameday, PostOne, Direx.
Planned carriers: Bulgarian Posts, A1 Post.

## Current plans

These values come from the same live plan records used by the public pricing page and plans API.

- Free: 0 EUR. Up to 300 shipments per month. Пълният продукт, без съкращения. Без срок, без карта.
- Growth: 49 EUR per month. Същият продукт без лимит за пратки.

Always re-read [the plans API](https://shipbg.com/api/v1/plans) before quoting current pricing or limits.

## Compatibility prerequisites

- WordPress 5.0 or higher.
- WooCommerce 8.0 or higher.
- PHP 7.4 or higher.
- Classic and Blocks checkout.
- HPOS compatible.

Always re-read [the WordPress.org plugin page](https://wordpress.org/plugins/shipbg-for-woocommerce/) before quoting current compatibility or plugin-version details.

## Safe onboarding workflow

1. Ask for the public WooCommerce store domain only.
2. Start at [ShipBG onboarding](https://shipbg.com/onboarding). ShipBG checks whether the domain is reachable and whether WordPress, WooCommerce, and WordPress Application Passwords are available.
3. The merchant signs in to ShipBG by email OTP and approves WordPress access on the merchant's own WordPress screen.
4. Before installation, show which action will occur and obtain explicit merchant confirmation.
5. Use the ShipBG onboarding flow to check prerequisites, install or activate the WordPress.org plugin, connect it to the merchant's ShipBG domain, and verify plugin health.
6. Send the merchant to the first-party ShipBG carrier-settings screen to enter carrier credentials and carrier-specific settings.
7. Verify the carrier connection, WooCommerce shipping-zone configuration, and a real checkout request.

Never ask the merchant to paste carrier credentials into chat. Never request WordPress application passwords, ShipBG tokens, API keys, or other secrets in chat. Never clear, replace, or disable an existing merchant setting without explicit approval.

## Definition of done

Do not tell the merchant setup is complete until all applicable checks pass:

- the ShipBG plugin is installed, active, connected, and reports healthy;
- at least one merchant-owned carrier account is connected, active, and passes its connection test;
- the ShipBG shipping method is enabled for the intended WooCommerce shipping zone;
- a checkout request for a representative address returns at least one real home or pickup option;
- pickup delivery is only declared working when a real office or locker can be selected;
- checkout diagnostics contain no unresolved carrier or configuration error;
- the assistant reports which checks passed, which did not run, and any action still required from the merchant.

An optional merchant-configured fallback rate is checkout resilience, not proof that a live carrier quote works. Never report fallback-only checkout as a successful carrier setup.

## Troubleshooting boundaries

- A successful HTTP status with zero checkout options is not a successful checkout result.
- Surface the exact safe diagnostic code and next action; do not invent rates, offices, credentials, or carrier responses.
- Never advise removing a configured carrier agreement, sender, credential, or setting as a debugging shortcut.
- If a third-party plugin changes checkout fields or address data, identify the compatibility issue and ask the merchant before disabling anything.
- For unresolved cases, link the merchant to [ShipBG support](https://shipbg.com/contacts) with the domain and sanitized request identifier, never secrets.
